About IDCA


The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) is a governing body for deaf cricket in India. The Association was formed in 2020 in lieu of Deaf Cricket Society under the NCT of Delhi Societies Registration Act 1860. It is a apex national cricket associations for the deaf and its affiliated state associations elects their delegates to participate in IDCA General Body which elects its office bearers to represent IDCA which in turn participates in Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) which closely works in association with International Cricket Council (ICC). Deaf Cricket Society (DCS) is a non-profit voluntary organization under Societies registration act of 1860 and also registered under the act of 1995 for the persons with disabilities (equal opportunities, protection of rights & full participation). It is solely dedicated to serve the cause of persons with disabilities. DCS was founded in the year 2012 and conducted various matches at National and International level to further improve the structure of the organization/Society while IDCA was formed in 2020 to expand and to all Indian deaf cricket association at state every to participate in national & international tournament. IDCA is regarded as cricket's premier specially abled association which today leads & promotes Deaf Cricket in India & globally. Sumit Jain, President of IDCA is a member & treasurer of DICC board committee, which is mainly governed by Board of Directors who are nominated by each Member Country. Every Member Countries is engaged bilateral matches. ... IDCA’s mission is toteIn & nurture specially-abled talent & works as an institution to promote deaf cricket in India as well as overseas and prepares players for large number of bilateral matches between countries which brings on sponsors & relevant stake holders to promote their brands during bilateral series. We, at IDCA routinely work with DICC in association with ICC. IDCA was founded in 2020 and its area of operation is across the country. Since the inception, the Association is directing its sincere efforts towards enhancing physical mobility and residual capabilities of differently abled and integrates them into the mainstream of the society through several welfare activities and the game of cricket. IDCA is the Apex Cricket Body to govern, promote and organize Cricket for the deaf in India and has 20 state level associations and over 30, O00 players from various state units for domestic cricket level tournaments. IDCA is affiliated to Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC). IDCA organizes tournaments at the level of School, Associations, District, Women, State, Zonal, National and internationals etc. It helps to organize local, district and state level tournaments to spot talents, develop teams, physiotherapists, trainers, umpires, coaches and other team support personnel. We are determined to bring deaf cricketers into the mainstream of cricket fraternity as per the provisions of “The Right of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016” the 18 Million Deaf Handicapped persons spread all over India in order to encourage them.
